I have used a variety of water bottles including brands such as sigg and camelbak. Nalgene is my favorite for the fact that it is affordable, durable, a simple design, and doesn't leak!!! For the most part it retains no odor. I suggest using a denture tablet or two overnight to get rid of the smell.
