The obvious benefit other than keeping your beverages cooler for longer periods is that this insulated carrier keeps condensation to a minimum. It protects any belongings in your bags or on your table from getting damp. I use the bottle at nights and woke up to 'skunky' water, that was warm and not too pleasing. Before bed now I dump a few ice cubes in the bottle and slip the carrier over the bottle. This makes the water much cooler and more enjoyable. The big test will be this summer when I bike ride in the heat. I'm sure with more ice this carrier will keep my water much cooler.
