I know this might be nit picky but every other camera case I have purchased had some type of microfiber on the inside. I would not put the camera in the case with the LCD facing outward plus you have exposed sensors and lenses on the outside as well. What I like about it is the belt strap is well made and feels secure but the G11 is not a cheap camera and I can't see putting into a case that might scratch something. I just bought the Tamrac 5689 Pro it does have microfiber and velcro release for quicker access.
Update: The Tamarac does not have the microfiber either looked like it did from the pic. Anyways making ups some money re shipping but found the perfect solution. Lowepro Dublin 30 not on amazon wetsuit material with microfiber on the inside for when I want the slimmest case possible and as it is form fitting and has a Velcro closer. The Lowepro Apex 100 when I want to bring all the accessories extra battery, charger and such its weather resistant with microfiber and petitions lots of padding.
