My wife got this for me for my birthday after our cable guy stole my 4LED Tikka. The Tikka Plus 2 works better than expected. Beam setting is VERY bright. Flood light spread is plenty wide and bright for trail blazing. I love the sliding diffuser Petzl put on there to accomplish this too. A quick flip and it goes into flood light mode. I don't use the red light, so not much to say about it aside from it's a nice option if I ever take up bike riding.
The only thing I'd recommend is that you use lithium batteries. It's a tad heavier than I would like with standard NiCd batteries. And it's a bit bulkier than my old Tikka. If you look up while it's on, you can see it a little.
A little pricey but well worth it if you want a dependable and long lasting head lamp.
