Cheapest Lodge Logic Pre-Seasoned Combo Cooker

I purchased my combo cooker to use camping. I searched the Internet over to find out if anyone had used this combo cooker as a camp oven and could not find a single reference. I then purchased a Lodge 4 qt camp dutch oven to use instead.

Because of it's obvious versatility I was not willing to give up the possibility of using the combo cooker as a camp oven. I bought a 14" cast iron plant dolly from Big Lots, removed the casters, burnt off the black paint and oiled it. I then put bolts in the threaded holes where the casters were to achieve a 1.5" total height. This is my stand and I use a cheap pie tin to hold the charcoal on the lid. I have since practiced cooking various dishes with both my 4 qt. camp oven and my 3 qt. combo cooker with the same great results.

I even stacked them swapping the lids (both are 10.25"). I put the combo cooker on the bottom (great for deserts) with the 4 qt. lid and the 4 qt body on top with the combo cooker lid.

So If you want a perfect all around cast iron camping pot for 2 the combo cooker does it all!!
