I have several of the plastic version of this utensil, and recently bought the Ti one.
I weighed them both on my food scale and the titanium one is a couple of grams heavier than the polycarbonate ones, but it will last forever if properly cared for. Plastic scratches easily, and scratches harbor bacteria. The metal version is going to be easier to keep clean over the long term.
Also, it can withstand higher temperatures without failure. If you dropped it in the campfire by accident, chances are you could fish it out before it becomes damaged. I wouldn't bet that the plastic version could survive such a trial by fire unscathed.Get more detail about Light My Fire Titanium Spork.
